Rules
1. No drama, thanks. If you have a problem with another player, take care of it privately or tell a mod. Remember that conflicts between characters should not be carried over into hostility between players. Do not disrespect another person for ANY reason.

2. No power-gaming. Your character isn't Superman, don't act like he or she is. Remember that even the True Rune bearers have weaknesses. Do -not- do anything to control another mun's character without permission.

3. Unconventional pairings are allowed, of any orientation. HOWEVER, the pairing must be RPed out well and developed, not just happen overnight because the players say so. Canon pairings must be respected and acknowledged; Tengaar wouldn't just suddenly start looking for a new boyfriend. And understand that not all characters will be approving of the choice. Borus would NOT take Chris marrying Nash lightly, and characters from more conventional backgrounds may not take to untraditional affairs (class differences, homosexual couples, etc).

4. Please post mature content behind a cut with proper warnings. It may be your cup of tea, but it may not be someone else's. A warning is always polite. If you don't know how to do a cut, use the LJ faq or ask a mod.

5. We're not grammar nazis, but please, be friendly to your spellcheck and make sure others can read it. On the other hand, if you're playing a character who's grammar would NOT be up-to-par, that's fine. No chatspeak, period.

6. Keep the characters as IC as possible. If you need to change something about their history, you MUST get the approval of all three mods first. We're not going to get elitist on you or anything; this IS an RP afterall, and what's an RP without development? But please, be reasonable. Salome won't be running around in a tutu any time soon. Please do not apply for a character if you have not beaten, much less played, the game they are in.

7. You may start with two characters and after being active for awhile, you may apply for more. There is a maximum of five characters per player. When applying for a character, your application must be approved by all three mods. We're accepting applications for all characters that appeared in the games I- IV and the Gaidens. As for Suikoden V characters, at the moment we're accepting some applications, but please keep spoilers to a minimum when applying. Most of us haven't played it yet. Only ONE version of each character is allowed. For example, if someone is playing Suikoden III Futch, someone else cannot play Suikoden II Futch. No original characters. There are enough to choose from already.

Leknaat, Pesmerga, Yuber and the regular animals (see faq) ARE NOT PLAYABLE.

As a side note, the "Heroes" of the games will be referred to by their official novel names here-- Tir, Riou, etc, and True Runes belong to those that are supposed to have them officially. IE, Hugo has True Fire, Chris has True Water, etc. The Heroes have the True Runes they're meant to have.

8. Game logs go in the Suikoden Chaos community. The personal journals are used for character development and mun enjoyment ONLY-- One character can't see another character's entries. The comment box community is used as the comment boxes of the games-- everyone can see the posts there, and reply to them. And the OOC comm is for anything else.

9. Please try to be active. A most or involvement in a scene every couple weeks is enough. We're aware that life happens, but if you never have time to get involved, it sort of defeats the purpose of joining an rp. If you're going on hiatus, that's fine. Just let one of the mods know about it so that we don't remove your characters on accident.
